Giant Dioon Cycad – Dioon Spinulosum (Living Fossil, 200 Million Years Old)

Cycads predate the dinosaurs — and the Dioon Spinulosum is one of the most magnificent alive today. Native to the humid forests of eastern Mexico, this Giant Dioon develops a stout woody trunk crowned with long, arching glossy fronds. Relatively fast-growing for a cycad, it’s a landmark specimen for tropical gardens and large containers. Own a piece of prehistory.
