Pachypodium Saundersii

Pachypodium saundersii, commonly called the kudu lily or Star of the Lundi, is a compact caudiciform succulent shrub prized for its swollen bottle‑shaped trunk, sharp spines, and striking white, star‑shaped flowers.

Key features

Forms a thick, water‑storing caudex with few, spiny branches, usually 0.5–1.5 m tall in habitat but smaller in pots.
Produces narrow, glossy green leaves toward the tips of branches, which are often shed during dormancy.
Bears showy clusters of white, sometimes pink‑flushed, fragrant flowers in late summer to early winter, followed by horn‑like paired fruits.

Habitat and growth habit
